Who this is for (and not for)
This workflow is for solo creators, small teams, and founder-led startups who already produce some original content (blog posts, emails, podcast notes, research) but struggle to keep up with the mechanics of posting consistently across channels. If you want to repurpose without sounding robotic and keep your examples/data intact, you’re in the right place.
If you’re looking for one-click firehose content with zero editing, that’s not us. We optimize for quality, brand voice, and fast iteration—not spam.
The 15-minute overview
- Paste once. Drop a paragraph (or outline) into the editor.
- Generate structured drafts. We return a strict JSON shape with
linkedin
,x
,email
,instagram
. - Light edits. Swap in examples, numbers, and voice. Our length guards keep you within limits.
- Export. One-click to Notion pages or Trello cards. Assign, schedule, done.
- Publish & measure. Optional: connect Buffer (Creator+) or BYOK for model control.
Step 1 — Prepare your source
Great repurposing starts with a tight source. You need: a single claim, one example, and a simple CTA. Keep it factual and conversational. Trim anything that doesn’t serve the point.
“We cut onboarding churn by 23% in 60 days by replacing a 7-field signup with a 2-step flow. The unlock was sending a usage-based welcome email on day 1. Here’s the flow and the email.”
Step 2 — Generate JSON-clean drafts (why structure matters)
ContentRepurpose returns a clean JSON object so you can copy/paste without fighting formatting:
{
"linkedin": "6–10 lines with a clear hook and CTA...",
"x": ["<=280 char variant 1", "<=280 char variant 2"],
"email": { "subject": "Short subject", "body": "3–5 sentence body" },
"instagram": "Caption + 3–5 hashtags"
}
This structure powers length checks (≤280 on X), line counts on LinkedIn, and IG hashtag hints. It also ensures our Notion/Trello exports are readable out-of-the-box.
System prompt we use (simplified)
Return pure JSON only with keys: linkedin, x, email, instagram.
- linkedin: 6–10 lines, one CTA.
- x: <= 280 chars total; provide an array with 2 short variants.
- email: object {subject, body} — 3–5 sentences.
- instagram: 1–2 short paragraphs + 3–5 hashtags.
STRICT: No Markdown, no triple backticks, no prose — JSON object only.
Step 3 — Edit for voice & proof (2–3 minutes)
- Add one number. % change, time saved, or cost reduced.
- Name the noun. “We reduced onboarding steps from 7 to 2” is stronger than “we simplified onboarding.”
- Keep hooks honest. Avoid over-promise; people smell it a mile away.
- One CTA. Comment, DM, link, or “reply ‘template’ and I’ll send it.” Don’t stack three asks.
Channel guardrails you can steal
- LinkedIn: 6–10 lines, line breaks after 1–2 sentences, 1 CTA, no walls of text.
- X (Twitter): ≤280 characters (our counter helps), two variants to A/B manually.
- Email: subject ≤55 chars; 3–5 sentences. Put the “why now” in sentence one.
- Instagram: 1–2 punchy paragraphs, 3–5 relevant hashtags, avoid hashtag stuffing.
Step 4 — Export to Notion & Trello (one click)
Exports are opinionated so your team can move without reformatting. Notion creates a page with your LinkedIn/X/Email/IG blocks separated by headings. Trello makes a card using your channel title + body in the description.
Step 5 — Publish & measure (simple beats perfect)
Our goal is weekly consistency. Start with a single input every Monday. Repurpose, export, assign, and ship by Thursday. If you’re on Creator+, connect Buffer to queue directly. Otherwise, the “Open Composer” buttons get you 90% of the way.
- LinkedIn: CTR on “See more,” comments, profile visits.
- X: Profile clicks, replies, bookmarks.
- Email: Opens are noisy—watch replies and CTR.
- IG: Saves > likes. Track saves/comments.
Ready-to-use templates (copy/paste)
1) LinkedIn “Problem → Lesson → CTA”
[Hook — 1 line. Be specific.]
We [did X] to solve [specific problem].
It wasn’t pretty, but here’s what worked:
• Step 1 — [short]
• Step 2 — [short]
• Step 3 — [short]
Result: [one number] in [time window].
Want the checklist? Comment “checklist” and I’ll send it.
2) X (Twitter) ≤280 chars (2 variants)
V1: We cut onboarding churn by 23% in 60 days by replacing a 7-field signup with a 2-step flow + day-1 usage email. DM “flow” and I’ll send our checklist. #SaaS #growth
V2: 7 → 2 steps at signup. Day-1 usage email. 23% less churn in 60 days. Want the template? Reply “onboarding”.
3) Email announcement (subject + body)
Subject: We cut onboarding churn by 23%—here’s the flow
Body:
Quick one. We replaced a 7-field signup with a 2-step flow and added a day-1 “first action” email. In 60 days, onboarding churn dropped 23%.
Happy to share the doc/checklist. Reply “flow” and I’ll send it.
4) Instagram caption
Onboarding went from “pls fill 7 fields 😅” to “2 steps & you’re in.”
In 60 days, churn dropped 23%. The unlock was a simple day-1 email that nudges the first action.

Why teams pick ContentRepurpose over ad-hoc prompting
- Speed to draft: Paste once, get all four channels in one structured response.
- Fewer edits: Length guards + channel rules reduce rework.
- Exports: Notion/Trello with clean headings and card descriptions.
- BYOK: Bring your OpenRouter key; we don’t store it. Control models/costs.
- Batch inputs (Starter+): Run multiple inputs in one go (great for content sprints).
- Integrations (Creator+): Buffer queueing, Project Pack export, early workflows.
Common mistakes (and quick fixes)
- Wall of text on LinkedIn. Fix: line breaks every 1–2 sentences; 6–10 lines total.
- Overstuffed IG hashtags. Fix: 3–5 specific tags; remove generic spammy ones.
- Vague CTAs. Fix: “Reply ‘template’” or “DM ‘flow’”—one verb, one action.
- Rewriting the source each time. Fix: reuse the same paragraph across channels; only edit examples/tone.
